Kyre Allison Now All-Time Leading Scorer in PHS history--Update Feb.26,2016

The 2015-2016 season should be a memorable one from a historical standpoint. 6-2 senior point guard Kyre Allison, barring injury, should become the Trojans' all-time leading scorer. Currently, Craig Tubbs (1979) holds the top spot with 1,485 points. Allison, who currently has 1,167 points in his career, should pass Tubbs late in the 2015-2016 season. Kyre has started since he was a freshman, and against Logan his first season, scored 26 points, leading PHS to a win at LHS. Those 26 points tied Andrew Bendolph's freshman mark set in the 2008 season, when Bendolph scored his vs. Chillicothe. The Cavaliers won the D2 state title that year.

Allison has scored 30+ points 5 times in his outstanding career, with a high of 33 vs. Chillicothe. In 2014, he scored 31 in a sectional tournament win vs. Williamsport Westfall.

Updated Aug.31, 2015: Kyre's official point total is 1,167. It has been edited in the main script to reflect the exact total. Thanks to Coach Eugene Collins for providing that information. With 1,167 total points, Kyre needs 319 to surpass the 1,485 all time mark of Craig Tubbs. With a 22 game regular season schedule, Kyre has an excellent chance, barring injury, to set the record late in the regular season. He would have to average around 15 PPG to break the mark. Of course a good tournament run would give him even a better opportunity to set the record.

Update Jan.16, 2016: Kyre scored 20 points vs. Gallia Academy on Jan.15, 2016, leaving him only 75 points short of breaking the all time scoring record. The Trojans have to play the next 4 games on the road, so it is unlikely that he will reach that coveted milestone at PHS gym.

Update Jan.20, 2016: Kyre scored 29 points vs. Ironton in a 66-50 win and is now only 12 points short of passing Craig Tubbs to be the #1 all time leading scorer.

Update Jan.27, 2016: Kyre's 26 points vs. South Point puts him #1 all time with 1,493 points. He is averaging 23.2 PPG through 14 games.

Update Feb.1, 2016: Kyre scored 27 points vs. Chesapeake which now gives him 1,520 points.

Update Feb.10, 2016: Kyre is around 1,600 points; he did not see a lot of minutes in both Rock Hill games.

Update Feb.22, 2016: Kyre scored 31 points in a 72-58 loss to Eastern Brown in the sectional championship. His final unofficial point total is around 1,665. I will post the official total when that information is made available.

Update Feb.26, 2016: Kyre official career total points is 1,688.........he also grabbed 600 rebounds in his career.
