3 Lady Trojans received the high honor of making the D5 All-Ohio teams. Sienna Allen (17.1 PPG) made 1st team, KeKe Woods (17.1 PPG) made 3rd team, while Hayven Carter (12.1)made Honorable Mention All-Ohio.

With the Lady Trojans winning back to back state championships in 2025 and 2026, Portsmouth HS is one of only 7 schools in Ohio that have won at least 2 state titles in both girls and boys basketball, and have a total of at least 6 state championships.

The Portsmouth Lady Trojans defeated Ottawa-Glandorf 53-48 to win their 2nd consecutive State Championship in D5. PHS was led by KeKe Woods' 26 points, which is now the school record for most points scored in any PHS state tournament game. Sienna Allen added 13 points, and she ended her outstanding career with 1,789 points. The Lady Trojans have now won 13 consecutive tournament games. They went 4-1 overall in their 3 Final appearances from 2024--2026.

Lady Trojan KeKe Woods became the latest member of the 1,000 points club in PHS history, as she tallied 23 points in a 62-17 regional semifinal win over Eastern Brown on 3/4. Woods now has 1,001 points in her career. The Lady Trojans will be playing for their 3rd consecutive regional championship on Saturday 3/7 vs. Tuscarawas Valley at 5 PM.

KeKe scored 18 points vs. Tuscarawas Valley in the regional final and now has 1,019 points.

Update: KeKe now has 1,054 points after scoring 9 points vs. Creston Norwayne and 26 vs. Ottawa-Glandorf in the state tournament.

Lady Trojan senior Sienna Allen became the all time leading scorer in PHS basketball history, passing the previous leader Kyre Allison. Allen now has 1,689 points after scoring 14 vs. Fairland on 2/14/2026. Allen will be taking her talents to Ohio University to play basketball.

Update: Sienna now has 1, 715 points after scoring 11 vs. Wellston in the first round of the tournament, and then followed that up with 15 points vs. Adena. The Lady Trojans' next game is vs. North Adams in the district championship on Saturday at Waverly, tip at 12:00 PM.

The Portsmouth junior high boys and girls teams are doing well at the midseason point. To date, the 7th grade boys have lost only 1 game to Wheelersburg and are undefeated in OVC play. The 8th grade boys have won 3 games, and are doing much better than last year when as 7th graders they didn't win a game. 

The Portsmouth junior high Lady Trojans have only 1 team with 7th and 8th graders combined which is normal for girls basketball at that level. To date, these girls have lost only 1 game overall, and that was to Gallia Academy.
